For the past six years the engines in these Propane-fueled (L.PG.) Jet Boats have been lubricated by AMSOIL Lubricants. Previously the oil change intervals were restricted to 25 hours and the life of an engine was rarely beyond 500 hours before replacement. Since converting to AMSOIL motor oils and the L.PG. fuel, the oil change intervals have been extended to 150 hours and the fitting of By-Pass Filter kits are expected to extend this to 400 hours with careful monitoring of the oil condition by oil analysis.

Engine life has also been increased dramatically by up to 500% with engines not requiring replacement until 2500 hours of severe operating conditions . . . Each engine is expected to develop maximum effort at peak torque R. PM. while being cooled to lower than normal by the water drawn in from the very cold snow-fed river.
