It is a well known fact that there exists a great mystery when it comes to knowledge about lubricants. (Almost as bad as electricity).

Throughout the century as with anything else as old, great misconceptions have continued to survive about lubricants. We the people have been guided and in many cases misguided by the heavy advertising and promotions of the oil companies. Coupled with word of mouth and simple guessing, the facts have been replaced with rumor and total misrepresentation.

As a professional mechanic I decided years ago to try and learn the truth and compelled to share that information with anyone interested.

Over 30 years ago I became an independent lubricant distributor and have worked hard to dispel the rumors, outright lies and old wives tales.

I started Discovery Oil Company as the means to get this information out and to support my family. We now successfully distribute premium quality AMSOIL Synthetic lubricants and related products across the United States and Canada. We also are continually on the lookout for unique, premium products and have added many of them to our product inventory.

All information provided in this web site will be factual. If I express an opinion it will be based on years of experience and noted as such.
